My Journey

My dream as a child was to contribute to and be part of a community that is happy and alive. Growing up I was timid and full of emotional turmoil. Getting married and becoming pregnant only triggered the explosion of a childhood trauma. I had insomnia, severe shoulder pain, and was very anxious.

"The day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." After having an unexpected cesarean birth and suffering postpartum depression I was awakened. During the second pregnancy, I decided to become an active and informed participant in my baby's and my health. I read books and scientific articles, and took a HypnoBirthing class. And it WORKED! For the first time in my life, I knew what deep trust means to the body. I wrote a letter to my instructor 3 days after giving birth and told her that I will do anything to share the possibility of an easy and gentle birth with other women and babies.

Teaching HypnoBirthing opened my eyes to the many emotional and physical benefits of letting the mind and body work together. I also became much more aware of the difference between common myths and scientific facts. Day by day, my life was happier and more in control, even with one of my daughters suffering from severe allergy and eczema since birth.

We were told by a doctor that my daughter’s allergy was going to get worse and worse with every episode, and that she had to carry an Epipen for the rest of her life. I researched and researched and finally took advanced hypnotherapy and craniosacral therapy training. She is allergy free now.

There were periods that I was stuck in life. I went through hypnotherapy and acupuncture treatments and was astonished by the physical, emotional, and mental changes happening: I'm free from the shoulder pain, I sleep like a baby, and I'm calmer day by day. I studied traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture at Maryland University of Integrative Health because I want to further understand how the body and mind work together to create disease or ease.

Today my dream is still the same: to contribute to and be part of a community that is happy and alive. And I'm living my dream, thanks to clients and families, like you.
